GCISD Election
Dear Editor:
I encourage all voters of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD to vote for Leon Leal to represent us on the GCISD Board of Trustees. I have known Leon for many years: as a neighbor, friend and loyal supporter of our school district. Even before Leon had children, he volunteered at Grapevine High school to help the wrestling team, lending his expertise as a former college wrestler. He has been on the Board of Trustees of Baylor Hospital of Grapevine and has been very involved in our community for years.
Leon has had many years of business experience.
He has the tact and diplomacy needed in a board member. He will ask the right questions of our school district. You couldn’t ask for a friendlier, more personable representative. He and his wife Tracy have raised 3 of the best-behaved boys you would ever want to meet.
Grapevine needs to be represented on our school board, though currently it is not; Leon is the perfect choice.
Please vote for Leon Leal for GCISD Board, Place 6.

Grapevine Council Election
Dear Editor:
I’m proud to be a resident of Grapevine, and want what is best for the future of this community. That is why I am voting for Becky St. John for Grapevine City Council.
Becky has a well-rounded blend of key leadership and work experiences that demonstrate her commitment to what is important to many of us:
Protecting our city: Becky has partnered with our public safety officers on many issues surrounding our parks and lakes during her employment with the Army Corps of Engineers.
Balancing the planning needs of the city while maintaining our home town atmosphere: Becky has been making decisions for land use, as an experienced member of Grapevine Planning and Zoning Commission from 2002-2007.
Preserving Grapevine’s beauty and natural resources: As a park ranger for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for seven years at Grapevine Lake she has gained insights on the challenges we face.
Preserving Grapevine’s rich history: While on the P&Z, Becky made decisions that strongly supported Grapevine’s historical preservations efforts.
Supporting excellence in education for our children: Becky is currently serving a 2-year term on GCISD’s District Excellence Committee.
It takes someone with a principle-based character to stand up for what is right for the long-term good of Grapevine. Becky is someone who listens to our residents and takes a reasonable, common-sense approach to making key decisions.
Let’s do what is best for Grapevine, our children and our grandchildren. Go to the polls this Saturday and vote for Becky St. John.

Dear Editor:
I want to express my support for Traci Wilkinson for Grapevine City Council Place 5. She is an attorney and small business owner in Grapevine. Traci has lived in Grapevine for over 16 years. Because she’s also a mother raising three children, she believes that it’s important to preserve and protect Grapevine’s heritage for future generations. She wants to ensure high quality economic development while protecting our residential quality of life. She is an active volunteer in the community. Traci has been involved in GrapeFest, Main Street Days, she chaired the Special Olympics for the Grapevine Rotary and serves as a volunteer attorney for Metroport Teen Court. She’s given of her time and talents to the various schools and other organizations in the community. Traci is honest, sincere and will work hard for the citizens of Grapevine. Traci has the skills and leadership qualities that make her the best candidate for Place 5. May 10th is Election Day. I ask that you join me and elect Traci Wilkinson to our next councilmember in Place 5.
