Five years ago when Ralph and Louanne Williams renovated their aging pool and backyard, they turned their then-ordinary yard into waterfront property. Taking advantage of a large farm pond and meadow behind their home, they built a retaining wall topped with a brick wall and iron fence, adding about 40 percent to their usable yard. The couple also had a large, formal pavilion constructed and now enjoy the ever-changing show of farm animals and waterfowl.
